Wild Mystical Women – A tribute to the wild one in us all.
a poem by Katerina Roy
“Wild frolicking goddesses,
Dancing with crowns of flowers
And glitter woven into their hair
Dancing to honor the wilderness inside of ourselves,
Dancing to honor what is timeless and eternal,
beyond holy names, divisions, and creed.
Some goddesses marched on with a powerful drum,
Some felt their bare breasts exposed to the sky,
Some sang as they skipped,
And others whipped their hair in the wind.
The pulsing heart of womankind
Beat the hardest she’d ever seen,
Her eyes filled with joy as she let herself
Dance free and wildly, joyfully, ecstatically.
The highs are so much better when you
Are no longer afraid of the lows.
And these women understand that so clearly.
They understand their own individuality, uniqueness, and beauty that they bring,
They know their strength and wisdom,
They know their beauty and know it’s just like the rest of creation.
It’s time to celebrate the goddess
It’s time to celebrate being a woman
It’s time to have fun in our bodies
It’s time to drink deep the joy of life
It’s time to live right here and now.
It’s time to let the spirit move and stir you
It’s time to feel your brilliantly alive heart love fiercely again
It’s time to feel your body support your life again
It’s time to trust in our knowing again
It’s time to feel the resurgence of power and strength come back to our souls.”
