You have to be willing to lose your mind so you can find your soul.
Dance while exploring foreign places. Sing while you boldly live your dreams. Go where you are afraid to. Dream up things that scare you. Do things that give you great pleasure. And there, you’ll find that you lose your mind – the obsessive, worried, controlling thoughts that imprison you in suffering – and find your soul.
It is here that you’ll become a cleared out channel that speaks love, kindness, understanding, powerful truths, insights, and radical compassion for yourself and others. When you step out of the thinking mind and into the feeling body, you become able to perceive new things that you couldn’t see before. But now, they are there, and you see them.
And through questioning your mind, inquiring to the subconscious, you are able to unearth your deepest pain and welcome it in your awareness. And from here, it is welcomed back into the fold with love. The love consumes the whole story, the drama, the confusion, the pain. It all turns to dust in the fires of love. Each firmly-held-to-be-true lie I’ve ever held comes up for this reconciling with love.
And in that place, I find my soul. My whole being is enveloped in the warm rays of recognition of the hand of God in all things, including my own mental stories and dramas in my life.
